Why Serviced Apartments

As the world becomes more mobile and the boom in leisure and work-based travel sees us visiting increasingly varied and faraway locations, the demand for places to stay when we’re away from home is growing all the time.
In the past, people were limited to booking into hotels for overnight stays, but the notion of pre-arranging fixed term accommodation is outdated and full of drawbacks. Nowadays, more and more of us are choosing to stay in serviced apartments instead.
These are luxury, city-based apartments designed for short-term stays. They are fully-furnished, self-contained flats with full amenities, often housed in exclusive apartment complexes in the most desirable and convenient locations. How many hotels fit that description?

One major difference between serviced apartments and hotels is cost. With prices for hotel rooms rising all the time, it is getting harder for most people to afford centrally-located places to stay the night. Serviced apartments in prime, city centre locations can cost less than £80 a night, which is for the room, not per person – so if you’re travelling in a group the cost will be even lower. You and your friends could find yourself staying in the lap of luxury for as little as £20 a night.
Booking the room is not only cheaper, but easier too. Most serviced apartments require no up-front fee for their reservation. Instead, the apartment is secured on your credit card and payment is taken when you leave. You can check out whenever you want, and you only pay for the time you’ve spent there. This is ideal if you’re unsure how long you’re going to be in town for and makes serviced apartments far more flexible and cost-effective than hotels, where you have to make a fixed booking and pay the full amount for it regardless of when you leave.

The variety in the type and location of accommodation available with serviced apartments is far greater than with hotels. With hundreds of apartments of varying style scattered throughout UK cities, you can choose a room that is ideally suited to you, and with having the place to yourself, you’re bound to feel more relaxed than you would staying in an identikit hotel chain.
